Night Programs
Valley Homestead offers a variety of night activities, from which you can choose (pre arranged prior to arrival).
Bush Dancing
Run by an experienced caller who will teach the dance and lead you through an evening of energetic fun.
Campfire
We will light the fire area for song sheets to be read or for story telling, or a sing-a-long. We provide billy tea or milo, marshmallows and biscuits. It is preferable that each leader taking part has 15 minutes of activities organised, to be used if things get a little flat.
Concert & Disco
It is important that the concert is organised by school staff. It might be appropriate, for example, to have each room prepare and put on an act, or each duty group etc. We also have a fully integrated disco system. Valley Homestead equipment - run by your staff.
Lazy Harry
An enlightened past teacher who is extremely professional in his presentation of a broad range of Australian themes, mainly through song.
Music Men Rudi & Howard are excellent musicians and will entertain the group with a carefully chosen selection of music and songs.
Reflectors Trails
Groups carrying torches follow a trail of 20 stations through the bush collecting a message at each station. It is important that the participants bring torches to the Camp for this activity. After being briefed by Valley Homestead staff, this activity is supervised by your staff.
Groups may wish to conduct their own evening activities and are most welcome to do so, such as a trivia night, mini olumpics etc.
